The NextGen Raptor Crew is part of the Volunteer Ambassador track, a Vail Valley Foundation initiative that provides high school students with meaningful volunteer opportunities, helping them develop essential life skills and gain valuable work experience.

You will follow a schedule specifically designed for you, allowing you to gain exposure to a variety of volunteer roles and operational pieces that make this event so epic.

You will have the opportunity to
- Join the Spectator Services team: Help guide visitors through the heart of Beaver Creek Village, where your communication and people skills will shine as you create an unforgettable experience for fans from around the world.
- Support the Volunteer HQ team: Jump into the fast-paced world of event operations, where teamwork and time management will be key as you contribute to the smooth running of a world-class event.
- Be part of the Green Team at Race Finish: Get hands-on with sustainability efforts as you help uphold the Birds of Prey’s commitment to a green event and greener future, all while sharpening your critical thinking and environmental awareness.
- Join the Product team: Take charge of preparing and distributing volunteer uniforms and kits, where you’ll develop a solutions-oriented mindset, multitasking like a pro, and taking initiatives with confidence.
- Contribute to Venue Security: Ensure restricted areas are protected and access is managed with precision. This role will help you grow your leadership abilities, adaptability, and resilience in a high-energy environment.

The 2025 NextGen Raptor Volunteer Program has limited spots, and participation will be determined through a selection process. We believe that the selection process itself is an exciting part of your journey, and may be a first-time application or interview experience for many of our NextGen Volunteers.

To join the NextGen Raptor Volunteer Program, you must be 14-18 years old and available for a minimum of 4 half-day shifts. Participation in a compulsory training session is required to ensure you’re ready to make an impact. In exchange for your dedication, selected volunteers will receive a tailored 2026 Birds of Prey Volunteer Kit to kickstart your adventure with us!
