Bluegrass band Big Richard brings a bold, modern energy to the genre, blending hard-driving musicianship, raw emotion and an unforgettable live presence. Featuring Joy Adams on cello, Bonnie Sims on mandolin and guitar, Eve Panning on fiddle and Hazel Royer on bass, the Colorado-based quartet draws on extensive backgrounds in bluegrass, classical, folk and rock.

Their sophomore album, Pet, was recorded live to tape to capture the raw energy and chemistry of their live shows. The album pairs emotionally charged songs with hard-driving instrumentals, showcasing the band’s distinctive sound, powerhouse musicianship and playful personality.
