The Talon Crew is an intensely dedicated and experienced group of volunteers who strive to produce the best Audi FIS Ski Men’s World Cup race course. Partnering with the Vail Valley Foundation, U.S. Ski & Snowboard, Vail Resorts, Beaver Creek Resort (home of the 1989, 1999, and 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships) and Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, the Talon Crew finds itself on the icy slopes of the Birds of Prey building fence and installing safety devices, watering, preparing a race-ready surface, and providing course maintenance every winter. The Birds of Prey racecourse is known as one of the best in the world and our volunteer Talon Crew has become legendary in the ski world.

The Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup event is hosted each December by the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation (VVF). The VVF has a mission to provide leadership in arts, athletics and education, and address community needs to enhance our valley as a place to live, work and visit. Learn more at vvf.org.
