At 26 years old, the Grammy-nominated Yonder Mountain String Band stands as a trailblazer in progressive bluegrass, blending rock, alternative, and improvisational elements into their high-energy, drum-free performances. Their innovative approach has paved the way for string bands to shine in rock venues and festivals. Known for their original music and collaborative spirit, Yonder Mountain continues to influence the modern jamgrass scene. In 2024, they’re set to release a historic EP featuring their original lineup and a new studio album with founding members and fiddle virtuoso Coleman Smith, who joined the band in 2023.
